![]() ![]() If you are new to the game and especially the Persona universe you're probably wondering what Social Links are the ones most worth focusing on. ![]() If you're having trouble keeping up all your attributes and exploring Tartarus each night I strongly recommend you check out my guide on how to make the most of each day. For example in order to unlock the Moon Social Link you'll need at least "Unpolished Charm". Some of them you can only unlock at a certain time and some require higher than average Academics, Charm and Courage to unlock. Not all Social Links are available to you by default in the game like the Fool and the Magician are. Leveling up a Social Link will not grant you any active benefits for the Personas you already have made but each time you go to create a new Persona you'll gain experience for it depending on what level your Social Link is at. For example, if you're hanging out with Kenji and you keep telling him to go for it and chase the woman he loves your Magician Social Link will improve. Each time your friendship improves with someone in the game your corresponding Social Link will increase. One could say that Social Links are essentially the Side Quests of Persona and as such they aren't required of you to do but are extremely helpful in making you more powerful throughout the game. ![]() Two of the very first Social Links you get in Persona 3 are the Fool and the Magician. When a Social Link is established the game notifies you by displaying the Persona archetype that the Social Link belongs to. I have my own conspiracy theories as to why people are so against it, but nothing I can confirm in anyway. In Persona 3 you can form something called a Social Link by becoming friends with one of the many different ingame characters. I have never seen any argument of substance as to why your first P3 experiance shouldn't be FeMC, or that your ONLY P3 experiance shouldn't be FemC. You just have to swap some pronouns and hair colour a couple times. If you only ever play the female route all future titles still make perfect sense. "The male story is canon so should definitly be played first!"Įven though Q2 confrims female route is canon.ĪND the main story beats of both routes are identical. "The girl is supposed to be an alternate take so you should play her second"Įven though if you play her first you can still play the male route as an alternate take. "Atlus recommends you play the boy so obviously that means it's somehow an inviolable commandment"Įven though it's just a recommendation. No one ever says that they don't want to play as a girl outright. But I'm still enjoying the game nonetheless, though I would love to see this one get a remake. Maybe there are better storylines later? But not really gravitating toward the stories nor my character's constant need to please characters. Oh, I also just started the moon social link, which was. Bebe and the older couple did have interesting stories but haven't gotten around to continuing them in a while. Most of the storylines in P3 so far I don't particularly care for and what's more offputting is some of the "correct" answer choices to level up like encouraging your friend to date a teacher or escalating a student council's vindictive search for a smoker or being a yes man to a drunk monk have me second guessing my choices. Though it does feel the least polish and most repetitive because it almost feels like a pseudo-visual novel (Thankfully there is voice acting!).Īnyway, I've always liked the social link aspects in these games because it gave some nice character development and made me appreciate the side characters a lot more or love my teammates more. I'm still in July, so I'm still pretty early in the game, but I do really like the main cast and the overall atmosphere. ![]()
